PRECISION THROTTLING VALVES

We've proudly designed, developed, and delivered cutting-edge Throttling Control Valves that are already empowering leading Space Primes and International Space Agencies across critical missions.

What sets our valves apart?

  • Precise Control: Achieving a 10:1 turn-down ratio, giving you granular control over propulsion.

  • Lightning-Fast Response: Experience rapid adjustments with step response times under 50 milliseconds, crucial for precision manoeuvres.

  • Built for Tomorrow: Engineered with reusable launcher and lander applications squarely in mind, ready for the demands of repeated spaceflights.

Our technology is already making an impact. We recently delivered throttling control valves for the breadboard testing of the ExoMars Rosalind Franklin Mars Lander, contributing to humanity's quest to explore the Red Planet

FOx-1 Thruster: Sustainable Propulsion for In-Space Mobility

Protolaunch have developed the 22N FOx-1 Thruster. This innovative system uses water electrolysis to generate its propellants: clean hydrogen and oxygen.

The advantages of water-based propulsion are clear:

  • Cost Savings: Water is readily available and non-hazardous. This means satellites can be shipped to the launch site fully fuelled, eliminating expensive ground handling procedures for typical propellants like hydrazine. It's estimated an overall satellite cost saving of 25% can be saved by moving to water electrolysis propulsion.

  • Enhanced Safety: With a non-toxic propellant, customers will benefit from simplified fuelling operations and reduced risks.

  • Sustainability: Water is a clean, green, sustainable solution to in-space manoeuvrability with future refuelling capabilities.

ARCTIC FOx: Versatile Propulsion for Diverse Missions

Introducing Artic-FOx, the powerful "big brother" to our FOx-1 thruster, delivering 500N of thrust.

Designed with unparalleled versatility in mind, Artic-FOx is engineered to operate seamlessly on a wide range of propellants types - gaseous, cryogenic and liquid bi-prop.

Artic-FOx is designed to provide the adaptability required to suit a range of diverse space missions, offering a powerful, flexible solution for demanding in-space manoeuvring needs.
